Following our face-to-face get together in the library, we’ll be having another online meeting next. Alternating the two types helps some of our more far-flung members continue to participate.
The exercise for the meeting is to write using one of these three ideas for a story. Please choose one and create a story. You can use the prompts as they are or see what comes into your mind.
- 1) – A mad scientist determined to destroy the world falls hopelessly in love with a not-so-wicked witch. As hard as he tries, he can’t impress her.
- 2) – It’s late at night and you hear footsteps in the cellar, but you’re definitely home alone…or so you think.
- 3) – A farmer who dreams of being a scientist experiments on this year’s pumpkins, hoping to enlarge them. He has a lot of success, until one of his potions is tampered with and the cute pumpkin in his patch morphs into a monster that eats anyone who stumbles over its vines.
If you would like to join us for the meeting, please contact us to request an invite to log in. If you can’t make it along, please write a story and send it to us. Someone will read it out at the meeting.
