The opening meeting of the session, which we held in Lennoxtown Library on 4th September, was well attended, with old and new faces present.
Debra and Norrina outlined the programme they have devised for the coming year. Full details will be here later, but among the activities planned include:
– a 500 word story competition
– a challenge to write a short biography of a writer who has inspired us
– a book critique exercise. The suggested book in Music in the Dark by Sally Magnusson, who we’re claiming as a local author.
A significant change that was decided upon was that our future meetings in the library will run in the mornings – from 1030 until noon, still in Lennoxtown Library, and still on the first and third Monday of the month.
The next meeting will therefore be at 1030am on Monday 20th September.
